My history

I was raised in San Diego in the fifties and sixties. I grew up loving the outdoors and being physical. I loved the ocean and as soon as I could drive I started going to the beach to surf. In the late sixties I went to Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo and I ended up majoring in Physical Education. The motto there was to learn by doing which went well with my kinesthetic learning style. Sports were my interest at that time. I was on the track team, the volleyball team, the powder puff football team and surfed in my spare time. I ended up getting a California Life Teaching Credential in Physical Education and Art.

In 1971, I moved to Ukiah, California where I landed my first teaching job. I had a temporary position teaching physical education, and also coached volleyball, basketball, and track. At the end of the school year the teacher that I was taking the place for came back and I was out of a full time job. Then I started teaching through the adult school in Ukiah. Over a period of several years I taught physical fitness to women and seniors, stress management and aerobic dancing. I started having children, and so I taught an exercise class for pregnant women. I loved living in the country and didn’t want to move back to an urban area. I wasn’t able to get a full-time teaching job, so I got in to sales: automobile sales; in-home sales; and I was a Xerox representative. In the eighties, I studied Science of Mind and became a practitioner. I also wrote a newspaper column called Minders for a couple of years. It was about how to use affirmations in one’s life. I also became a rebirther.

In the mid-eighties I was able to get a teaching job in the public schools–finally. I taught one year of elementary school (which wasn’t my cup of tea); one year as a temporary teaching physical education in a middle school; seven years teaching/running the Young Parent Program at Ukiah High School; twelve years teaching art at Ukiah High School. I retired from public school teaching in 2006.

In my late thirties I noticed that I had a problem hitting an overhand serve and also hitting a spike in volleyball. People told me that it was old age. I couldn’t believe that. I later found that I had lyme disease (I had been bitten by numerous ticks over the decades). My last couple of years teaching at the high school level was difficult. I had a lot of trouble with my memory. I ended up cutting back to working sixty percent of the time–that was all I could handle.

Several years ago, I ran across EFT again. I had come across it earlier, and didn’t like what I thought was negative languaging. In the summer of 2005, I was holding my infant god-daughter, Kamala. She weighed less than ten pounds, and several times I felt as though I was about to drop her. It was a wake up call for me. In less than a year, my son and his wife were going to have a baby–my grand daughter. I imagined holding her a lot, and I didn’t want to drop her. I used EFT to help me to exercise daily, to get back into shape (so to speak). When Tessa, our grand daughter, was born, I was ready to hold her without feeling as though I was going to drop her. It was EFT to my rescue!!! I have also used EFT to help me with my memory.

I learned EFT by studying the videos that Gary Craig used to sell, and by reading thousands of EFT accounts. Then I practiced using it on everyone who would let me. One of the things I really love about EFT is how easy it is to learn. I love the EFTUniverse newsletter, and if you are interested in learning EFT I would recommend it most highly.

If you haven’t found the right EFT practitioner, and you are reading this, maybe this is spirit’s way of leading you to me. My main way of doing EFT is via phone (since I live in a remote area). I have great success in doing EFT. You may want to read my book, Touched by a Miracle: EFT Healing Stories, which is a collection of my personal stories about helping myself and others with EFT. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see how I might be able to help you with a personal session.

Another powerful tool that I have learned how to use is group EFT. I have had the honor of presenting at a couple of workshops on the Law of Attraction Radio‘s Transformation Cruises. Opening to the One Heart is what I call tapping with a group, and I find it even faster than an individual session. Here’s a YouTube example from one of the cruises in which I help a woman let go of her guilt of her sister’s suicide that she carried for 20 years.

Also, if you are an EFT practitioner, and you would like my advice on a case, I am available in 15 minute increments. I have a well developed intuition, and may be able to help.

So, I am available for working with groups, individuals or consultation for coaches . Give me a call or email me, and let’s talk about how I can help.

To contact me by phone, call 707-462-2501 or you can email me.
